Dan Klausing
Owner / President

Dan began his career at Elgin Service Center in the late 1960’s primarily pouring bin foundations working for a two man operation. Dan assumed ownership in 1972 turning his company into a corporation in 1974. By assembling multiple construction crews, aggressively selling, providing quality equipment and service to the local agricultural community the company began to prosper. In the late 1970’s Dan’s vision and commitment to enhance the quality of the product line at Elgin Service Center the development of the K Building evolved. As a member of several of Elgin Service Center vendor’s manufacturing advisory counsels, Dan has been a staple in the ag community for many years. The K Building; now large enough to be a business of its own has been the pulse of Elgin Service Center for the last 20 years. While Dan now enjoys leading a less aggressive approach to the everyday routine at Elgin Service Center, he still remains active in selling and leading his two sons and the rest of Elgin Service Center as the owner and president.

Dave Knepper

Office Manager

Dave has been with Elgin Service Center since 2002 and is primarily responsible for assisting customers and dealers with building inquiries and support. With his computer background Dave is an invaluable asset to Elgin Service Center, as he oversees our CAD department as well as many of our technical issues related to our computer systems and online presence. Dave also tracks inventory and purchases many of our building components and accessory items. Often times it is Dave that will answer inbound phone calls to our corporate office.

Doug Hemm
Director of Marketing & Dealer Development

Doug has been with Elgin Service Center since 2008 and is responsible for developing and implementing the Elgin Service Center/K Building marketing strategy as well as developing the K Building dealer network throughout the Midwest. Prior to joining Elgin Service Center Doug spent 22 years as a lumber wholesaler. Please feel free to contact Doug directly to inquire about K Building dealer opportunities.

Sam Kimpel
Sales

Sam has been with Elgin Service Center since 2009 and is responsible for coordinating K Building and Grain Bin sales for the northern region of the Corporate sales territory. Sam brings a wealth of knowledge to Elgin Service Center as he has been in related building fields in the Lima, Ohio area since 1986. Scott Klausing
General Manager

Scott has been officially with Elgin Service Center since 1992. However one could say his entire lifetime having grown up with the company as the son of Mr. Dan Klausing, the company founder. Scotts responsibilities include the purchasing of the steel and wood components that comprise the K-Building as well as our grain bins and handling equipment. Other responsibilities include purchasing of all other major building components and inventory. He will also oversee the K-Building production schedule, bill of materials as well as our building delivery dates to our dealers. Scott’s background in both the K-Buildings as well our grain products provide our customer’s with an unmatched level of knowledge in the industry. Scott is available to answer questions regarding any aspect of Elgin Service Center sales or service.

Steve Klausing
Sales

Steve is the oldest son of founder Dan Klausing and has been with the company since 1988. Over the years Steve has worked in several capacities including service manager for grain related products, K Building construction manager, shipping and receiving supervisor and truck driver. His past experience makes Steve a tremendous asset as he manages the southern region corporate territory for both grain and building sales. 	Craig Critten Shop Foreman Craig has been with Elgin Service Center since 1991, and is responsible for overseeing the manufacturing of our K-Buildings. From the time an order is sent into production Craig will oversee every aspect of it's fabrication. Craig is also responsible for coordinating construction crews as well as the general organization of the Elgin Service Center warehouse facilities.

	Deena Knepper Secretary Deena has been with Elgin Service Center since 2011 and is responsible for overseeing our day-to-day office duties at our corporate office in Elgin, Ohio. These duties include payroll, insurance, invoicing and updating pricing in our parts department. It is often Deena’s voice that greets callers into our corporate office. Prior to joining Elgin Service Center she was a team leader/office manager for a local medical office.

	Tony Ruffing Sales - Kenton Office Tony has been with Elgin Service Center since 2011 and is responsible for coordinating K Building and Grain Bin sales in our eastern sales region from our Kenton, Ohio office. Tony also brings a wealth of knowledge to Elgin Service Center as he has spent a number of years working in commercial construction upon his graduation from Ohio Northern University. In his spare time Tony likes to raise show cattle on the family farm. 	Brad Epling Office / Shop - Kenton Office Brad has been with Elgin Service Center since 2004 and works out of our Kenton, Ohio facility. His responsibilities include customer service as well as overseeing K Building parts fabrication and auger assembly. Prior to joining Elgin Service Center Brad worked at a distribution center for a large retail lumber company.
